Sunday morning pancakes

Sunday… the shops are closed, the kids don’t go to school… it’s a day of rest, relaxation and long cozy mornings. Fill the house with the nice smell of Sunday morning pancakes and your family will be grateful!

Ingredients for 2:

  • 3/4 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

Mix the milk with the apple cider vinegar and let it sit for 5 minutes to create the ‘buttermilk’. With a sieve above the bowl, add in the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt, making sure there are no lumps. Add the egg and the melted butter. Mix well and put one scoop onto a hot non-stick pan. When you start to see bubbles form, flip the pancake over. You can add virtually any type of topping: maple syrup, jam, chocolate hazelnut spread, fresh fruit, whip cream… whatever you like!
