Sea Bream in crazy water

Dear Friends, today we revisit the topic of sea bream. Orata, in Italian, because of the typical golden line between its eyes, is a fish that has lean and tasty meat, is extraordinary nutritionally and especially recommended for children! In fact, sea bream is rich in organic proteins, minerals (calcium, phosphorus, iron and iodine), vitamin B and contains very little fat (mostly omega 3 polyunsaturated). With Andrea we decided to prepare “crazy water” sea bream.

  • 1 sea bream (about 400 gr)
  • 1 large potato
  • 2 red tomatoes
  • 1 shallot
  • Parsley
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • Water

Peel the potato and tomatoes and cut them into cubes. Take a high pan, fill with 4 fingers of water (must be enough to cover the fish) and add the diced potato and tomato, parsley, a little salt and the onion cut into small wheels. Cook over medium heat. As soon as the potatoes are ready, add the sea bream (remember that the water must be enough to cover it) and cook on low heat. When ready (the eye should be white and a fork should be able to pierce it easily) take it out of the water and select only the meat. Put the fillets on a plate, add the seasoning with a slotted spoon and complete with a little oil and salt. Bon appétit!
