Chocolate ‘Salami’

The chocolate salami is one of the simplest desserts that exists and is also one of the most liked by children for a tasty snack with friends.

Ingredients for eight people:

  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 175 gr of dry biscuits (saiwa gold type)
  • 150 g of butter at room temperature
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 2 medium eggs
  • Powdered sugar

Finely chop the chocolate and dissolve in a bain-marie. Once melted, let it cool. Meanwhile, mix the butter and sugar in a bowl and add the eggs one at a time, until you get a frothy mixture. Add the warmed chocolate and mix well. Now it’s time to break-up the biscuits coarsely and add them to the chocolate mixture. Transfer everything onto a sheet of parchment paper with a spatula and form a ‘salami’. Let it rest in the fridge for a whole night, and as soon as it’s firm sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
